Who is responsible for your data

What I collect

When you use the contact form, I collect:

• your first name and surname;
• your email address;
• the content of your message.

To measure audience and performance, this site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They do not use cookies and only produce anonymous, aggregated statistics (pages viewed, referring site, country, device type); they are not used to identify you.

Your light/dark theme preference is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

Why I collect it

Your data is used for one purpose only: to read and reply to your message, whether it's a freelance project, a quote request or a job opportunity. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering the messages I receive (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Your data is never sold, shared for marketing, or added to a mailing list.

How long I keep it

Messages and contact details are kept for up to 3 years after our last exchange, then deleted. If we go on to work together, the information needed for invoicing is kept for 10 years, as required by French accounting law (Article L123-22 of the Code de commerce).

Who has access to it

Only I read your messages. To run this site and receive messages, I rely on the following service providers, who process data on my behalf:

• Vercel Inc.: website hosting and anonymous analytics;
• HeroTofu: contact form delivery;
• Apple (iCloud Mail): email inbox.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, including asking for your messages to be deleted, email lukedacruz@icloud.com. I will reply within one month and delete your data from my inbox and from the form service, except for anything I am legally required to keep.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
